In November last year, Huawei announced its Huawei Y9s smartphone. As it turns out, the Huawei Y9s smartphone might soon be launching in India as well as the phone has been spotted on the Huawei India page and Amazon India website. Though the official website and Amazon landing page doesn’t give a release date, the listing suggests that the launch date for the phone is imminent.
Huawei Y9s is listed on the Amazon India website and the listing shows the Phantom Purple variant as well. To recall, the phone was launched last year in only two color options: Breathing Crystal and Midnight Black.
Huawei Y9s specifications
The Huawei Y9s runs on Android 9-based EMUI 9.1 out of the box. The handset sports a 6.59-inch FHD+ Ultra FullView display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by the octa-core Kirin 710F SoC coupled with 6GB RAM, and 128GB storage onboard that is further expandable via microSD card.
For photography, the Huawei Y9s houses a triple-camera setup at the back consisting of a 48-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 2-megapixel tertiary camera with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera of the phone gets a 16-megapixel f/2.2 pop-up shooter for selfies and video calling.
The device rocks a 4,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging via USB-C port. It measures 163.1×77.2×8.8 and weighs 206 grams.
