Huawei Y9s Goes Official with Kirin 710F SoC and Pop-up Selfie Camera

The successor of Huawei Y9, the Huawei Y9s finally goes official. The phone has been listed on the company’s global site. It is worth to mention that this phone is a rebranded version of Huawei’s 9X Pro with some changes onboard. The company has listed the new Huawei Y9s in two color options that includes Breathing Crystal and Midnight Black.

Huawei Y9s Specifications

Huawei Y9s sports a 6.59-inch TFT LCD Full HD+ display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. The handset packs company’s own Kirin 710F octa-core processor and it is backed by 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. That said, the storage is further expandable up to 512GB through the dedicated slot for microSD card. On the software side, it runs Android 9 Pie based EMUI 9.1 operating system.

For photography, the phone gets a total of three cameras at the rear. This comprises of a 48-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.4 aperture. There is also a 2-megapixel tertiary lens with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, For selfies and video calling, there is a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture.

Backing all these is a 4000mAh battery. The company claims to deliver up to 40 hours of continuous calling, and video playback for 9 hours. On the connectivity front, the phone comes equipped with Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, USB Type-C etc. Sensors on the phone include ambient light sensor, gyroscope, compass, and gravity sensor.
