Earlier this week, we had reported Huawei’s first pop-up selfie camera phone namely Huawei P Smart Z in the works. Even though there is no official confirmation from the company about the existence of the Huawei P Smart Z, it is reported to debut in Europe in the coming weeks. Now, as per the new report, the brand is preparing to launch a new handset that’s dubbed the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 with the pop-up selfie camera. And as per a report by SlashLeaks, this smartphone will sport a pop-up camera and a triple rear camera configuration.
Calling it the ‘First Look’ of the upcoming Huawei Y9 Prime 2019, the poster of the phone shows the phone featuring a vertically aligned camera in the back panel. The camera setup is accompanied by an LED flash. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The display of the phone is near edge-to-edge with a small chin. The volume rocker and the power button are seen on the right edge.
When it comes to the specification, there are no concrete reports on the hardware of the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019. According to the rumors, the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 features a 6.59-inch full-HD+ display with 91.006% screen-to-body ratio. There is an octa-core 12nm HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM,128GB of onboard storage. It should run Android 9.0 Pie based EMUI 9.1, 4,000mAh battery.
For photography, Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 will feature a triple rear camera setup that comprises of the 16MP f/1.8 sensor, an 8MP f/2.4 sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Up front, there will be a selfie camera of a 16MP f/2.2 sensor.
Apart from this, there is no other information available for the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019. The company already started the advertising for the phone, then the official launch should happen in the coming days.
