Huawei Y5 Prime With Face Unlock, Android 8.1 Launched

Huawei has launched its new smartphone in its Y-series. Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) is the company’s latest handset in the budget segment that the company has released without any marketing and stuff. The smartphone is up on the company official site stating that it will be up for sale soon.

Price and Availability

The smartphone has been priced at the cost of CNY 599 which is roughly Rs. 6,400 in Indian currency, it is expected that the Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) will also be available around that price range. The key major specifications of the smartphone includes its 5.45-inch display, Android 8.1 out-of-the-box, and Face Unlock. The Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) will be available in three color options of Black, Blue, and Gold.

Operating System and Display

The Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) comes in two variants – DRA-L02 with single-SIM slot and DRA-L22 with dual SIM slots. The smartphone runs on the Android operating system 8.1 Oreo with EMUI on top and sports a 5.45-inch HD+ (720×1440) display.

Camera department

On the photography department, the Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) features a 13-megapixel camera at the back and a 5-megapixel camera at the front for taking selfies and video calling.

Storage

The Y5 Prime (2018) is equipped with 16GB of inbuilt onboard storage, which can be expanded further via microSD card of up to 256GB.

Connectivity options

Some of the connectivity options in the Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) are 4G LTE, GPS, A-GPS, and Glonass. The sensors on board are an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and proximity sensor.

Battery

The smartphone is powered by a battery of 3020mAh that comes with Power Saving 6.0 technology.
