Huawei launched its second Android Go smartphone. The new model is the sequel to the Huawei Y3 which was launched Back in May 2017 the company’s first Android Go Smartphone. The new smartphone Y5 Lite gets a pack of entry-level specs with stock Android and falls in the list of a budget smartphone.
Specifications and features
As we said this the smartphone which is under Google’s Android Go initiative programme the smartphone preloaded with Android Oreo Go Edition. Unlike other stock Android phones Android Go devices come preloaded with lite versions of Google apps like Gmail Go, YouTube Go, Google Maps Go and more. Further, these smartphones are also optimized to run ‘Lite’ versions of other popular apps like Uber, Facebook, and more.
Coming to the specifications, The Huawei Y5 Lite flaunts with a 5.45-inch LCD IPS display with HD+ (1440×720 pixels) resolution. The device is armed with a MediaTek MT6739 quad-core SoC coupled with a 1GB RAM. On Memory configuration, the device comes with 16GB storage that can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.
On Optics, The device is equipped with an 8-megapixel f/2.0 single lens camera at the back accompanied by a LED flash. For selfies, there is a 5-megapixel f/2.2 fixed focus snapper accompanied by a selfie toning flash. To make sure the phone ticks the device is backed by a 3,020mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity, The device includes dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, micro-USB 2.0, GPS, GLONASS, and A-GPS.
Price and Availability:
The Android Go Edition Huawei Y5 lite smartphone has launched in Pakistan.The device is priced at PKR 16,499 (roughly Rs. 8,200) for 1GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant. The smartphone comes in Blue and Black colour options.
Details of its global launch are yet to be revealed. Considering the price the device is likely to unveil in emerging markets such as India and Indonesia in the coming future.
