We already reported that Huawei is working on the P40 series and the new series is set to launch very soon in home-country China. Prior to the official launch, Huawei P40 has allegedly been spotted on Geekbench. The upcoming phone’s visit on the benchmarking platform suggests a Kirin 990 5G SoC at its heart, ticking alongside 8GB of RAM.
As per the Geekbench listing, the Huawei P40 is fuelled by the Kirin 990 5G chipset. The clock speed mentioned in the Geekbench database is 1.95GHz. Further, the processor is paired with 8GB of RAM. The smartphone may get additional RAM variants when it launches. Further, the device is seen running on the Android 10 operating system out of the box.
The Huawei P40 has scored 742 in the single-core test and 2686 in the multi-core test. The device tested on the latest Geekbench 5.1.0.
The Geekbench listing does not reveal much about the handset’s design and hardware. Going by the earlier reports, the 3C certification already revealed that the Huawei P40 will support 22.5W fast charging while the P40 Pro will come with a 40W fast charging. The handset is tipped to come equipped with a triple camera setup on the rear and a punch-hole camera on the front. The rear camera setup will comprise of a primary sensor, ultra-wide-angle and ToF lens as well.
