Huawei’s next new smartphone is soon heading to the European and the North American markets. The new smartphone dubbed as the Huawei P Smart 2019, spotted on Federal Communications Commission(FCC) that revealed some specifications. The new device is the successor to the last year’s Huawei P Smart, also known as Huawei Enjoy 7S for China.
The Huawei P Smart 2019 with model number POT-LX3 might be available in not less than 4 versions depending on the no of SIM supported and amount of internal storage. Single and dual-SIM variants will be available and 32GB and 64GB storage options, in addition, it could also run on 3GB of RAM on board. Under the hood, The chipset is still unknown but since the predecessor P Smart was powered by a Kirin 659 chipset, it is expected to house the Kirin 710 SoC. The most important one is the device will be backed by a 3320 mAh battery which would take an upgrade over the existing P Smart’s 3,000 capacity.
While the sketch of the Huawei P Smart 2019 reveals that the new smartphone will feature a 6.2-inch display. The schematics show the phone’s dimension to be 155.2 x 73.4 mm. The documents further reveal it will come with support for LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 7 and 28. The attached sketches show that it will have a waterdrop notch, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and dual rear cameras stacked in a vertical arrangement. Unlike the existing P Smart+ with its dual selfie camera and ‘conventional’ notch.
For the rest of specifications, we need to wait until next round of rumors it seems. The expected launch date could be early in January with Europe being first on the list. A variant of the smartphone with model number POT-XL1 was certified by Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) back in October which revealed that it will come with a price tag of € 199 (Rs 16,300 approx).
