Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro and Nova 5i Launched: A Look At Price, Specifications

After months of leaks and rumors, the Huawei Nova 5 series is finally here. The leaks had already shown what to expect from the Huawei Nova 5 series smartphones. The Huawei Nova 5 series includes three models Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro and Nova 5i. For now, the company has launched the devices in home country China and the company may introduce these devices in other countries soon.

Huawei Nova 5 Specifications and Features

The Huawei Nova 5 sports of a 6.39-inch OLED display with a full-HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by the 7nm Kirin 810 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz, coupled by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable via microSD card.

For photography, the Huawei Nova 5 boasts quad rear camera setup, comprising of a 148-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with, a 16-megapixel superwide lens, a 2-megapixel sensor for adding depth effects and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Up front, the phone has a 32-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

It packs a 3,500mAh battery. The smartphone runs EMUI 9 based Android 9 Pie out of the box. Connectivity features on the Huawei Nova 5 include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C, and 3.5mm audio jack.

Huawei Nova 5 Pro Specifications and Features

Huawei Nova 5 Pro boasts a 6.39-inch OLED display with a full-HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. It runs on Kirin 980 flagship processor with 8GB of RAM and up to 256Gb of onboard storage. This is the same chipset that found in Huawei P30 series and Mate 20 series.

The device comes with four cameras such as 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with, a 16-megapixel superwide lens, a 2-megapixel sensor for adding depth effects and a 2-megapixel macro lens. For selfies, it has a 32-megapixel camera. It’s also powered by a 3,500mAh battery with 40W fast charging support. The smartphone runs EMUI based Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Connectivity features on the Nova 5 Pro include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C, and 3.5mm audio jack.

Huawei Nova 5i Specifications and Features

Coming to the Huawei Nova 5i, the device is powered by a Kirin 710 SoC. The display is 6.4-inch LCD display and the device comes in 6GB of RAM/ 128GB of internal storage and 8GB RAM and 128GB storage options.

In the camera department, the Huawei Nova 5i include a quad camera set up on the back consisting of a 24-megapixel primary sensor, a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a ToF sensor. It comes with a whopping 4,000mAh battery and it supports 5V/2A (10W) charging. The smartphone runs EMUI custom skin based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

Huawei Nova 5 Pro Pricing and Availability

The Huawei Nova 5 series range starts at 1,999 Yuan (approx. Rs. 20,231). To start with, the Huawei Nova 5 Pro, which is the most premium in the range, starts at 2,999 Yuan (approximately Rs 30,311) for 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant. While the 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage model is priced at 3,399 Yuan (approx. Rs. 34,348).

The Huawei Nova 5 Pro come in Dilemma Forest, Midsummer Purple, Coral Orange, and Bright Black color options. Its pre-sales will start from today, and the smartphone is set to go on the first sale on June 28. Huawei had also announced a special limited edition of the Nova 5 Pro.

Huawei Nova 5 Pricing and Availability

The Huawei Nova 5 priced at 2,799 Yuan (approx Rs. 28,295) for a lone 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant. The Huawei Nova 5 launched in Dilemma Forest, Midsummer Purple, and Bright Black color variants. The pre-sale of the Nova 5 will kick off on July 13 and its first sale will start on July 20.

Huawei Nova 5i Pricing and Availability

At last, the Nova 5i model with 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage comes with a price tag 1,999 Yuan (approx. Rs. 20,231) while the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage model is priced at 2,199 Yuan (approx. Rs. 22,184). The Nova 5i is unveiled in Crush Blue, Crush Red, and Midnight Black colors. Its pre-sales begin today, and its first sale will start on June 28.
