Huawei already teased the launch of its upcoming smartphone Nova 4 with a shooting star at its upper corner left on the last Monday. Now the firm confirmed about its launch date of the smartphone by relaunching the same teaser with a name Huawei Nova 4 will arrive on December 17.
The phone accomplishes the aim of all screen design with an edge-to-edge display (a high screen-to-body ratio) with a screen piercing to accommodate selfie camera. After Samsung’s punch hole design on the screen, every brand is in a hurry to unveil one with the same design. However the Samsung is yet to announce a launch date for the Galaxy A8s, it seems that Huawei took the first place in launching the first phone with a hole for the selfie camera.
While we look into the design Huawei Nova 4 will have a selfie-camera hole at the top-right corner, similar to the Samsung Infinity O display that would come in early next year with Galaxy A8s –smartphone. The device is also expected to come with an AI triple camera setup and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Apart from this, there’ll be a 3.5mm headphone socket on the top.
Talking about the specifications, the smartphone is expected to be equipped with an LCD display and 7nm HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM. The handset is also likely to sport Huawei’s GPU Turbo technology to boost efficiency and performance. The other details of the phone are yet to be revealed. However, there is no long wait to know them.
Meanwhile, Huawei and Samsung are not the only brands working on a device with selfie camera punched onto the display. Lenovo Z5s, which is also scheduled to launch this month, will also boast of such design. According to the previous leaks suggests that the handset’s screen will have a hole drilled in the middle up top.The device could feature a 6.2-inch display, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and 3,210mAh battery.
