Huawei Nova 3, Nova 3i launched in India: Price, Specifications, Features

In the previous report, we already were given a confirmed launch date of Huawei Nova 3 and Nova 3i that is today. Both these smartphones were launched earlier this month in China, and come to India very soon after. The key highlights of these two smartphones come with dual cameras on front and rear as well as a FullView display with a notch on top.

Pricing and availability:

Huawei Nova 3 and Nova 3i will be exclusively available on Amazon India and sales begin August 23 and August 7 respectively. Pre-booking for both phones though will begin from 2 pm on July 26.

Both Nova 3 and Nova 3i will be available in three colour options – Black, White and Blue. The Huawei Nova 3 is priced from Rs 34,999 for the 6GB+128GB model. The Huawei Nova 3i is priced at Rs 20,999 for the 4GB + 128GB variant.

Coming to launch offers include no-cost EMI schemes extra Rs 2,000 off on exchange, and extra 100GB data on Jio, along with extra Rs 1,200 cash back on two smartphones.

Huawei Nova 3, Nova 3i Specifications and Features

Both the smartphones come with similar specifications, except for rear camera configuration, processor, and battery size. The two phones feature a design similar to the Huawei P20 Lite with notched displays, thinner chins and a glossy finish at the back.

The Nova 3 sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and an 85 percent NTSC colour gamut. It is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC, coupled with a Mali-G72 GPU. It is backed by 6GB RAM coupled with either 64GB or 128GB internal storage, which is also expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card.

For snappers, the Nova 3 bears a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a secondary 24-megapixel sensor with PDAF and f/1.8 aperture. On the front, It has a dual camera setup with a 24-megapixel primary sensor, with f/2.0 aperture, and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.

Coming to Huawei Nova 3i, It packs company’s own mid-range octa-core Kirin 710 12nm SoC with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. The handset comes with two RAM options 4GB and 6GB RAM coupled with either 64GB or 128GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card.

For shutterbugs, the front-camera setup is the same dual-camera arrangement of 24-megapixel and 2-megapixel image sensors. But the rear camera is different and it features dual rear-camera setup of a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor.

The Nova 3 packs a 3750mAh battery, while the Nova 3i is backed by a 3340mAh battery. Both run the latest Android 8.1 Oreo-based with EMUI 8.2 out-of-the-box. Both have hybrid SIM slots which can accommodate two nano-SIM cards or one nano-SIM card with a microSD card for storage expansion.
