Huawei already confirmed that the company is launching Mate Xs foldable smartphone at the upcoming Mobile Congress (MWC) 2020. This will be the successor to the company’s first foldable phone Huawei Mate X. The forthcoming Mate Xs will be fuelled by the company’s first 5G chipset, HiSilicon Kirin 990. Now, the Mate Xs foldable phone has been spotted on the China Compulsory Certificate (3C) portal in China.

This is the first spotting of the supposed foldable phone with model number TAH-AN00m on any certification website. Unfortunately, the 3C listing doesn’t provide any other details about the foldable smartphone. All we can glean is the 65W fast-charging support.

It can be speculated that the handset could sport improved hinge mechanism, which should ideally it more durable and smooth. Furthermore, it will come equipped with a more resistant screen. The Huawei Mate Xs foldable phone will be available for buyers in Europe. We’ll update you with more information as and when it’s there until then take the details with a pinch of salt.

The company is reportedly working on another foldable smartphone, dubbed as Mate X2 and it is tipped to launch in the third quarter of 2020. It is said to pack an upcoming Kirin 1000 processor. It is likely to sport a similar design that of Samsung’s foldable phone, Galaxy Fold. The phone will have a full-sized phone screen and maybe a smaller notification/ selfie screen to the other side. As of now, however, we will just have to adopt the wait-and-watch approach.
