Huawei Mate 40E 5G officially announced with Kirin 990E

Huawei has just officially unwrapped the Huawei Mate 40E. The latest phone joins Huawei’s Mate 40 series that includes Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and Mate 40 RS Porsche Design flagship phones. Priced at 4599 Yuan (Rs 51,500) for the base variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, the phone comes in Mithril, Bright Black, and Glazed White three colour options. It also has an 8GB + 256GB variant which is priced at 5099 Yuan (Rs 57,100).

Huawei Mate 40E Specifications

Huawei Mate 40E is equipped with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a screen resolution of 2376 x 1080 pixels, 90Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz sampling touch rate. At the heart of the device is an octa-core Kirin 990E coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. The lights of this smartphone are powered by an acceptable 4200mAh battery that is compatible with 40W SuperCharge tech.

It features a 13MP front-facing camera. The rear features 64MP primary shooter with an f/1.9 aperture, a 16MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and OIS support. 

The handset runs on Android 10 out of the box with the company’s own EMUI 11 skin. The phone supports the usual connectivity options including 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and dual-SIM.
