HTC is finally back to the Indian smartphone market with a new smartphone called HTC Wildfire X. Earlier, it was reported that the company will launch the HTC Desire+.
HTC Wildfire X Specifications
To begin with, HTC Wildfire X the sports a 6.22-inch HD+ IPS waterdrop display with 1520 x 720 pixels screen resolution and offers 88.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. The HTC Wildfire X is powered by a MediaTek’s Helio P22 octa-core SoC along with 3GB/4GB of RAM. Options for storage include 32GB and 64GB and the internal storage can be expanded by an addition 256GB using a microSD card.
The smartphone comes equipped with a triple camera setup at the back. This includes a 12 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP secondary sensor with 8x hybrid zoom support and a 5 MP tertiary sensor for depth sensing. The front-facing camera in the waterdrop uses an 8MP sensor.
In terms of software, the smartphone runs Android 9 Pie. The 10W fast charging technology enabled 3,300mAh battery fuels the smartphone. Connectivity options on the handset include Dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB-C port.
The smartphone also has a special feature called “Mybuddy” which enables users to use their smartphone as a personal security tool. This feature helps users to pull out the handset from the shell to trigger a loud alarm, send live location details to friends and family, it also record and transmit audio and video of the surroundings in real-time.
HTC Wildfire X Price and Availability
The smartphone is launched in Sapphire Blue variant only. Talking about the price, the 3 GB RAM variant is priced at Rs. 9,999 whereas the 4 GB RAM variant costs Rs 12,999. The phone will go on sale from 22nd August and it will be available for buyers exclusively via Flipkart.
HTC Wildfire X Launch Offers
HTC is offering a six months no-questions-asked accidental and liquid damage protection plan, and complimentary pickup and drop facility. The standard 1-year warranty runs concurrently. Furthermore, telecom operator Vodafone is offering Rs 3,750 in the form of coupons to both existing and new customers. Vodafone users will also get additional 0.5GB data per day for 18 months.
