HTC has officially launched the HTC U12 Life smartphone ahead of IFA 2018 with a new design. The HTC U12 Life is released with two color options: twilight purple and moonlight blue. The device is launched in the UK as of now and it will be launching in other markets in the upcoming days.
HTC U12 Life Specifications
Talking about the specifications of the HTC U12 Life, the device features a 6-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and Adreno 509 GPU. The phone will also be having Hybrid Slots means you have to either use it for Second Sim or Memory Card so compromising any one of them. The utilized Snapdragon 636 offers 40 percent improved processor performance over the Snapdragon 630, and 10 percent better graphics performance. The HTC U12 Life is backed by a 3,600mAh battery with the support of 5V/2A (10W) power input. While the device comes with a fingerprint sensor placed on the back side and phone also has face unlock feature.
Talking about the camera department, the HTC U12 Life features dual-camera setup on the rear, with a 16-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel. Up front, there is a single 13-megapixel sensor. Both the front and rear cameras have f/2.0 aperture lenses. Both the cameras come accompanied by a LED flash and HDR support to the front-facing camera for improved selfies in low light.
Moreover, HTC used the physical hardware buttons on the new HTC U12 Life again and it runs on Android 8.1 with HTC Sense UI skin. Connectivity options of the HTC U12 Life include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. It measures 158.5 x 75.4 x 8.3 mm and weighs 175 grams.
HTC U12 Life is priced at £300 (around $390 / Rs 27,700) in the UK and the company is launching the smartphone in other markets in the coming week.
