HTC released its new smartphone called HTC Desire 22 Pro. The Taiwanese-based brand made comeback after launching its last smartphone almost six months ago. It is a successor to the last year’s HTC Desire 21 Pro which made its debut in January with Snapdragon 690 5G SoC.
The new HTC Desire 22 Pro is a Metaverse-focused smartphone that can run 2D as well as 3D content on extended reality (XR) devices like HTC Vive Flow VR glasses.

The HTC Desire 22 Pro is priced at GBP 399 (approx. Rs 38,550) for its single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Pre-orders are now available in the UK, and shipping will begin on August 1. There is only one color option: black.
HTC Desire 22 Pro Specifications
The Desire 22 Pro is equipped with a 6.6-inch full-HD+ display with a 1,080×2,412 pixels screen resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. On the inside, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chip coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is preloaded with Android 12.
The HTC Desire 22 Pro features a triple rear camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel primary sensor paired with an f/1.79 aperture lens, a 13-megapixel f/2.4 ultra-wide sensor, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor paired with an f/2.4 aperture lens. There is also a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture lens on the front.
The smartphone comes with a 4,520mAh battery with 18W Quick Charge 3.0, wireless charging support as well as reverse wireless charging. It is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone has 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
