Honor Tab 5 launches with 8-inch display and 5,100 mAh battery

The craze of having tablets is decreasing gradually and many Android manufacturers are not focusing on bringing these devices to the market. But Honor, however, managed to launch its new entry-level tablet in China with a moniker Honor Tab 5.

This tablet comes in four memory configurations and two with cellular connectivity. Talking for non cellular connectivity models the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant costs 1099 Yuan, while the one with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage costs 1299 Yuan. While for cellular models, the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant costs 1399 Yuan, and the one with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage costs 1499 Yuan. These devices go up for sale in China on March 12.

The Honor Tab 5 looks cool with a metal rear cover with plastic bumpers. Honour has equipped the tablet with stereo speakers; one at the top and one at the bottom. The design language is similar to Honor 6X. The device flaunts an 8-inch display with Full HD resolution and fuelled by a Kirin 710 CPU and Mali G51 GPU. This chipset is fully capable of offering a stutter-free performance on devices with Full HD screen.

This tablet also features GPU Turbo 2.0, which is Huawei’s mechanism built into EMUI for maximizing gaming performance. Tab 5 comes with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage. Meanwhile, you can expand storage up to 512GB using the microSD slot.

For imaging, The tab includes a selfie shooter right above the display which is an 8MP fixed-focus camera. On the rear side, it is equipped with an 8MP camera with an autofocus feature, Cameras on both sides support Full HD video recording. The tablet features a massive battery capacity of 5,100mAh and has two stereo speakers; one at the top and one at the bottom.

In terms of connectivity as said the tablet comes in both Wi-Fi and cellular options in China. The cellular variant will make you comfort in making calls. the tablet features dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It is worth noting that the Honor Tab 5 lacks a fingerprint scanner, but it does come with a face unlock.
