Huawei is all set to introduce its Honor Play 5 series very soon. Now, a fresh leak has tipped specifications and renders of the Honor Play 5 smartphone.
Per a new piece of information shared by Digital Chat Station via a Weibo post, the Honor Play 5 will come with a 6.53-inch OLED display with support for FHD+ resolution. It is likely to have an under-display fingerprint scanner. The display will sport a waterdrop notch and inside this notch will be a selfie camera. On the back, however, the Honor Play 5 will come with a 64MP main camera aided by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a pair of 2MP sensors.
The phone will draw power from a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset under the hood. It is expected to launch in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, with storage variants up to 128GB. According to the tipster, the Honor Play 5 will carry a thickness of just 7.46mm and a weight of 179 grams, making it one of the lightest smartphones in its segment. He further revealed that the phone will pack a relatively small 3800mAh battery, that supports 66W charging support via USB Type C.
In terms of design, the recently leaked render by GSMarena revealed the phone will have a flat frame design instead of the round corners found on more recent Honor phones. There is a waterdrop notch on the front whereas the rear panel has a quad-camera module with a 64MP primary sensor.
