Huawei is seemingly kicking-off all things Honor 9X series early. After confirming the launch date which is July 23, the company took to Weibo to share the first official image that showcases the rear design of the Honor 9X Pro smartphone. There is not a lot of information which has been revealed at this time regarding the new Honor 9X series.
The smartphone which has been shown in Honor’s Weibo post shows blue-red gradient color on the rear and also the placement of the vertically-aligned triple camera module on the back. The camera setup is accompanied by an LED flash. The rear panel of the phone has an eye-catching ‘X’ pattern at the center. The rear side of the phone does not feature a fingerprint scanner. It is rumored that the Honor 9X series could be featuring a side-mounted fingerprint reader or it might come equipped with in-display fingerprint sensors.

Regardless, the renders shared by the Honor official fall in line with all the leaks and rumors that we’ve come to gather from the Internet. Earlier leaks also claimed that the Honor 9X Pro will feature a triple-rear camera setup. Honor 9X Pro is expected to offer a 6.5 and 6.7-inches LCD screen. The triple rear cameras will include a 48 MP Sony IMX582 primary camera with an 8 MP wide-angle secondary sensor and 2 MP depth sensor. The smartphone is likely to sport a 25MP pop-up selfie camera. On the software front, the device is expected to run Android 9 Pie based EMUI skin. There will be a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging support.
