Honor 9X will be launching in India on January 14th. Honor India President Charles Peng confirmed the debut date for the Honor 9X smartphone in an interview with Gadgets 360. The Gadgets 360 is Honor’s latest X-series offering – the successor to Honor 8X – introduced back in October last year.
Honor 9X India Launch Set for January 14
Honor India has sent out media invites for the January 14th event, in addition to putting up banners on the Flipkart website, confirming the launch date of Honor 9X in India. The invite sent by Honor shows a letter “X” in the background and includes the January 14 as the launch date. It, however, doesn’t reveal whether the brand would bring only the Honor 9X or also the Honor 9X Pro.
Honor 9X Price in India
As for the pricing, the Honor 9X costs CNY 1,399 (approx. Rs. 14,400) for the base variant with 6GB RAM + 64GB storage while its 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model costs CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs. 16,500) in China. The top model with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, on the other hand, is priced at CNY 1,899 (roughly Rs. 19,600). Honor 9X price in India is likely to be around Rs 15,000 for the base variant– in line with its Chinese pricing.
Honor 9X Specifications
To recall, the Honor 9X ships with a 6.59-inch full-HD+ display with 1080×2340 pixels resolutions. The device boots EMUI 9.1.1 software on top of Android 9 Pie out of the box. The phone is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 810 processor aided by up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The handset houses a 4,000mAh battery.
It has a dual-camera setup on the rear that comprises of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, it features a 16-megapixel pop-up camera with an f/2.2 lens. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
