Honor 8X Spotted With 7.12-inch Display, 4,900-mAh Battery and ‘Waterdrop’ Notch

Huawei’s Honor 7X successor Honor 8X spotted on Chinese certification site TENAA with design elements and specifications listed. The site leaked several interesting features about the smartphone, remarkably big 7.12-inch display with 2,244 x 1,080 resolution. There will be a thin chin at the bottom of the phone with the Honor branding. The device will be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz. According to the image listed on TENAA, it seems Honor 8X will feature a glass back and back of the phone houses a fingerprint sensor.

Honor 8X Specifications

According to the listing of TENAA, the Honor 8X phone will be powered by a 4,900mAh battery and a 1.8GHz octa-core processor. It also listed that the phone will have 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The storage capacity can be expandable up to 256GB through the microSD card.

As we mentioned earlier, the device flaunts 7.12-inch 2,244 x 1,080 resolution TFT display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio.

Talking about the camera, there will be a 16MP and 2MP dual rear camera and 8MP front-facing camera on the device. TENAA suggests that the device will come with an Android 8.1 out of the box and will be available in blue, black, and red.

Connectivity options of the Honor 8X include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB. Sensors onboard the smartphone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, fingerprint sensor, and proximity sensor.

However, the chipset of the Honor 8X hasn’t revealed yet. It could either be the most recent Kirin 710 or one of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 or Snapdragon 660 SoCs. Further, the dimensions of the Honor 8X are listed to be 177.57×86.24×8.13mm and weight is 210 grams.

The Honor 8X might be unveiled later this month or early next month in China.
