Honor 8A With Waterdrop Notch, 2.3GHz Octa-Core processor announced

After a number of leaks and renders Honor 8A, the successor of Honor 7A launched not in India but in its home country.As promised the device unveiled in two memory configurations. The new Honor 8A will up for sale in China from tomorrow.

The key selling points of the Honor 8A is it features an HD+ panel with a waterdrop-style display notch, octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) SoC, a two-tone design, face unlock that can scan 1024 facial points and more. The launch is inevitable in India as its predecessor Honor 7A was also launched in our country last year.

Speaking on specifications, The new handset Honor 8 flaunts a 6.09-inch HD+ (720×1560 pixels) TFT IPS LCD panel with a teardrop notch on its display. At the heart, The phone is armed by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) SoC, paired with a 3GB of RAM and comes with two memory configurations 32GB and 64GB that support expansion via microSD card (up to 512GB).

On the imaging duties, The Honor 8A offers a single rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel sensor, paired with an f/1.8 aperture and phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) tech. The rear camera accompanied with an LED flash and supports automatic HDR feature. For selfies and video calling, The device boasts an 8-megapixel sensor at the front along with an f/2.0 aperture. For Biometrics, The device has a face unlock feature that can scan 1024 facial points.

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone includes Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and the phone is backed by a 3000mAh battery.

Pricing

The Honor 8A which is launched in China today price starts at 799 yuan (roughly Rs. 8,155) for the 32GB storage version. While the 64GB storage version of the smartphone is priced at 999 yuan (roughly Rs. 10,195).The smartphone is available in Blue, Red, Gold and Black colour options. The smartphone is up for sale in China starting from January 9. For now, There has been no word on its global launch.
