Honor 20 Quad Camera Setup Teased Ahead of Launch

As Huawei prepares for the launch of Honor 20, ahead of the official launch, a new teaser for the Honor 20 reveals the quad camera setup on the rear.

First of all, one of the posters confirm the number of (rear) cameras on the phone, that is, 4. Another teaser hints the cameras are arranged in an L-shape. In addition to that, there is another poster, which teases the type of lens each sensor has. As per the third teaser, the first bubble has a regular picture which represents the standard lens. The second bubble is an ultra-wide-angle picture as it shows a wider view of the first image and thus confirms the phones will have an ultra-wide-angle lens.

The third bubble has a really close-up picture of a leaf with the background blurred, representing the macro lens. The last bubble shows a close-up view of the two birds in images 1 and 2, confirming the phone also has a telephoto zoom lens.

Earlier this week, one of the reliable tipsters, SlashLeaks revealed the camera details of the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro. According to his leak, the first sensor on the Honor 20 is a 16MP Super Wide-Angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 117° field of view. It will be followed by the main camera which is a 48MP 1.6µm Sony IMX586 sensor with a 1/2” sensor size and an f/1.8 aperture. The primary camera uses 4-in-1 Light Fusion, shooting originally in 12MP and combining images into 48MP. The third sensor is a 2MP f/2.4 1.6µm depth assist camera for portrait images. There is a LED flash below the camera setup. The final sensor is a 2MP Macro 1.75µm f/2.4 sensor.

The leak further confirmed the quad camera setup on the Honor 20 Pro would use a 16MP Super Wide-Angle camera on top, 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor with a larger f/1.4 aperture together with 4-axis OIS below it and an 8MP telephoto lens with an f/2.4 aperture which provides 3X optical zoom together with 4-axis OIS. At last, a 2MP 1.75µm f/2.4 Macro lens and the LED flash.
