| By DWR Editor

After launching the much-rumored Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, it seems the company is going to unveil the rumored mid-range Pixel smartphone in next year. Previous rumors had hinted that Google could unveil the mid-range phone called Pixel Mini in the event of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen. Now another latest leak reveals that Google is taking a shot at two mid-range smartphones to launch soon, perhaps in mid-2019.

According to a report from Android Police, a teardown of ARCore 1.5 had exposed two new smartphones which are codenamed as ‘Bonito’ and ‘Sargo’ were spotted in the list of devices supporting Google’s platform for mobile augmented reality.

Taking into account that the past models had comparative ‘naming convention’ it is being expected that these two devices are ‘Google-made’, these new devices could indicate that Google has plans for mid-range Pixel devices.

As of now, there are no specific details about the two devices besides the fact that Google will plan to incorporate either the Snapdragon 600 or Snapdragon 700 tier chipsets inside the phones. The new mid-range Pixel devices might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC and the new devices are being hyped as ‘mid-range’ phones, it’s possible that the pricing of these phones will be considerably higher than the typical definition mid-range. Rumors suggest that both these mid-range smartphones could be priced between Rs 20,000 and Rs 35,000 in India.

For now, there is no information regarding the design of the phones. As of now, there’s no official word regarding what will Google name these mid-range smartphones or will they follow the current trend of notched display and narrow bezels.

We will keep you updated with the further information on the same, so stay tuned for more updates.
