Google Pixel 4a Renders Reveal Punch Hole Display Design

| By DWR Editor

As tech giant Google works to get the unveiling of the Pixel 4a ready for next year, leaks are starting to emerge to give us an idea of what the new Google smartphone might look like. Now, the renders of the Pixel 4a have been leaked by popular leakster OnLeaks in collaboration with 91Mobiles.

If the images are accurate, Google has decided to try punch-hole display on the upcoming smartphone. The hole is placed at the top left corner of the display and the screen is said to measure between 5.7-inches to 5.8-inches in size while its resolution should remain Full HD+. There is a slit at the top of the display for the speaker.

On the rear, the Pixel 4a appears to have a new camera array. The render shows the squircle camera module. Surprisingly, it houses just a single camera and an LED flash. However, the leakster claims that there will be more sensors.

There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor which again confirms Google hasn’t opted for in-display fingerprint in the upcoming phone. On the rear, it has a “G” logo at the bottom. It also has an audio jack at the top while the bottom is home to the USB Type-C port and two grilles for the speaker and microphone. On the right edge, there is a power button in orange hue whereas the volume rockers are in the white color.

The tipster has not revealed any specifications of the forthcoming Google Pixel 4a. However, as per the speculations from 91Mobiles, the Pixel 4a will come equipped with 4GB of RAM that is coupled with the Snapdragon 730 or even the new Snapdragon 765. In terms of optics, the handset is tipped to pack 12.2MP primary camera as the Pixel 4. Other features will include NFC and Android 10 OS with the new Google Assistant. The handset is tipped to come with a big battery.

There is no official word on when we can expect to see the Pixel 4a in person, but hopefully, we will hear from Google sooner than later.
