Google Officially Sends Out Invites for Oct. 9 Event – Expected to Launch Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL

Google started sending invitations for the launch event on 9th October. So, it seems the event is for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL launch along with other “Made by Google” devices.

The invite for media comes with the hashtag #madebygoogle, which Google uses exclusively for its hardware products.

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL was leaked several times recently by Russian bloggers, YouTubers and the two days before the Pixel 3 XL found in a Lyft cab. Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL were recently spotted by 91mobiles on Taiwanese certification website NCC. The smartphones were also reportedly seen listed on FCC.

Moreover, along with the new smartphones, tech giant Google is likely to launch the new Pixelbook.

According to the invitation published by 9to5Google, a GIF animates “I <3 NY“, with a Google’s ‘G‘ logo. The “3” in the animated image indicating the launch of the Pixel 3 family.

However, other than the launch date of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 Xl, the report does not mention any information regarding the specifications of the phones. Recently it was rumored that the upcoming Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of local storage. The processor is expected to be clocked at up to 2.8 GHz coupled with an Adreno 630 GPU. It’s also running the latest version of Android, which was recently revealed as Pie. Further, the Pixel 3 is rumored to sport a tall 6.7-inch display with 2960 x 1440 pixel resolution and a big notch on top. Pixel 3 XL is tipped to carry a single 12.2MP rear camera module similar to predecessor Pixel 2 XL but with a f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization. Talking about the front camera, reports indicated that the upcoming pixel devices will have two 8.1MP camera sensors. The devices are expected to pack a 3,430mAh battery with a support for wireless charging.

The launch event will be held on October 9 in New York at 11 AM Eastern Time (8:30 PM IST).
