After Samsung announced about its first foldable phone many lead smartphone brands are in a race working on their respective Foldable devices. Recently Flexpai which not a well-known company also unveiled its flagship foldable smartphone. Last year we already heard reports stating that even Huawei and LG are working on “foldable” displays. One thing is crystal clear, the future of smartphones is bendable. Every major player has an essential reason who wants a piece in the development process.
Google which is relativelyy new to the smartphone making which entered the mobile market with its Pixel series.After three generations of launch, the line up is yet to pick up its grip in terms of sales. Now a fresh render is rounding on the internet stating Google is also working on foldable phones.
This information comes in the courtesy of Russian blogger Eldar Murtazin from Wccf tech, Who was also responsible for all the leaks related to Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL last year. He believes that Google has a foldable smartphone under the works. The Murtazin says that Google has at least seven Pixel prototypes under works at the time. Two of them were the current Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL while one of those prototypes is said to the foldable smartphone. There a mixed track record on the source .where we wouldn’t believe only one report. Previously there are multiple official announcements that solidify this claim.

Back in August 2018, Google announced native support for foldable phones in Android. And, Google was also awarded a patent for a hinged folding phone from the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Thus it is likely that Google is working closer to bring a new device to the market.
The United States Patent and Trademark Office published the details of the invention on its website, which shows a two-part handset with a hinged area in the middle. The majority of the text covers the method of displaying on or either side of the hinge, plus the software that would control it. Additionally, the document illustrates the different modes the phone could be used in.
Already this Samsung announced about its foldable phone sale which also confirmed that it will make around a million foldable smartphones this year and as the technology matures, Samsung has been aiming for the throne since years and seems almost ready to grab it.Many lead manufacturers who are also following the foot steps of Samsung by working on foldable technology.
Microsoft is also rumoured to be working on a smartphone smartphone-tablet hybrid as part of its Andromeda project. A Xiaomi device with a foldable design has also leaked in the wild suggesting the Chinese company will also join the segment.
