Google AR Stickers to expand beyond Pixel smartphones; LG G7 ThinQ first in line

Google first entrance the AR stickers in pixel range phones which is really an impressive feature that is genuinely useful and fun thing. Now, after six months of its launch, Google expanded the feature to other phones too. The Korean company is has worked out a deal with Google to include those same stickers on the LG G7 ThinQ.

In a blog post, LG tipped that the next software update (at least in Korea) will enable AR Stickers on the G7 ThinQ. This functionality will arrive apparently exactly the same as the Pixel, with AR Stickers accessible through the native camera application. It’s unclear if the same specialized sticker packs such as those for Star Wars and Stranger Things will be available, but the core functionality will be there.

These AR stickers are 3D images and text that you can add to your photos. This new feature will be available with the phone’s next software update and will function similarly to how they do on the Pixel. According to LG’s release, the feature will be accessible through the phone’s native camera application.

According to the announcement, there is no word of the update arriving in phones outside of Korea, so it’s up in the air whether LG G7 ThinQ owners elsewhere will be receiving the feature.
