Gionee to bring two new smartphones in India, teased on Flipkart

Its been a long time that Gionee launched a new smartphone but for a quite some time the company has been out with a picture in Flipkart reveals that it is going to launch two new smartphones. This might be the reason that the company didn’t reveal the smartphone for seven months is due to the company’s financial crisis in its hometown China. Some reports also suggest that the company might file for bankruptcy sometime in the future.

Even in India, there were reports stating that Gionee India will likely be acquired by Karbonn Mobile promoter and minority shareholder Vohra, but so far there is no development on that alleged acquisition efforts.
Well, its been soo long but the company seems didn’t give up and gearing up to launch new products in the Indian market.

Recently Gionee hints about its two new smartphone launch in India on the e-commerce giant Flipkart’s platform. As per the details on Flipkart teaser, one among the two smartphones will sport full-view display, ‘great camera’ at budget prices. The other device according to listing will sport a ‘beautiful design’, offer a solid performance and will have a battery unit which will last for long with one single charge.

As for now there no information related to upcoming Gionee smartphones and teaser image doesn’t reveal any specific details of the smartphone but it does highlight a horizontally stacked dual-rear camera setup which is paced at the top left corner of the back panel of the device. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner placed at the upper centre of the back panel. The fingerprint scanner will add to the security of the device.

To recall, The last device from Gionee which launched the F205 and S11 Lite in India. The highlights of both smartphones were that they came with full view displays with 18:9 aspect ratio, and supported Face Unlock feature. The S11 Lite also packed dual cameras at the back. It featured a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage.
