Samsung’s upcoming smartphone Galaxy A8s which is soon to be unveiled in the next few days, the smartphone is first to sport the Infinity-O Display design which houses a small circular cutout for the selfie camera. The smartphone display sees no notch which is completely different from the existing smartphones which aim to provide all screen design.
A new render by a Germany blog AllAboutSamsung shared that Galaxy A8s could bring near to bezel-less experience with a little chin at the bottom which could be no larger than what we have experienced on Galaxy S9 or Note 9 flagships.
The Front-facing selfie camera is expected to sport on the top left corner, much like what Samsung said it will be like when it announced its Galaxy A6s smartphone. The camera is visible through a cutout and won’t be the under-display camera as earlier speculations were roaming around.
Their ae smartphone where there is an option to those who unlike notches can hide it through software but the cutout cannot be hidden through software. It will be ever present to the eye, so it will be interesting to see how intrusive it will be to the viewing experience. On the plus side, the hole is quite tiny and Samsung may just customise the UI around it.
On display, The smartphone bears the Infinity-O display which removes the need of a notch or thick bezel on top so it should offer a more immersive display. And coming to the rear side, The device sports a triple camera setup on its back similar to the Galaxy A7 (2018) and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. We also see a total of three buttons around the frame, which suggests the volume and power button on one side and a Bixby button on the other.
On the hardware internals, It is rumoured that the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM. It may also ship with Android 9 Pie with the new One UI on top that will be optimised for the cutout display.
