Two months after announcing the dating service at its F8 developer conference, Facebook is testing it internally with employees.
Facebook app researcher, Jane Manchun Wong, tweeted images of the Facebook app with features currently limited to Facebook employees only. A report by the Verge quotes Facebook’s confirmation in a statement. The company has begun internally testing the dating service with its employees. Facebook confirmed to multiple outlets that it started testing, but didn’t comment further. Facebook told employers to use the fake information for their dating profiles as it is just for testing, and plans to erase all information before releasing the feature to public.

The screenshots posted by Jane Manchun Wong on twitter reveales privacy settings to limit who can and can’t see a user’s dating profile. Users can also select options for gender identity and desired matches. However, the product in testing, it is not sure that actual feature will look like this or have these features, and Facebook hasn’t set a target date for when its dating feature will go public.

As per the company, new Dating feature will let you to create a separate profile for dating. When you and another individual using the service like one another’s profiles, you’ll be allowed to contact them. Facebook also portrayed a feature that would allow you make your dating profile visible for people attending the same event as you, so users can expect more offline connections. “This is going to be for building real, long-term relationships — not just for hookups,” Mark Zuckerberg stated in the announcement of Facebook dating service.
