On Tuesday, Facebook said that many users worldwide were having trouble accessing Facebook, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram. The company didn’t give any official explanation for the cause of the technical glitch.
Since the past two weeks, this was the second time Facebook and Instagram were not accessible to its users. This outrage is observed worldwide, especially in Asia, North America, and Europe. #FacebookDown is trending on Twitter.

We know some people are having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Facebook identified the reason for the glitch was a bug, and it was resolved.
Earlier today a bug in our server caused some people to have trouble accessing our apps. The issue has since been resolved – we’re back to 100% for everyone – and we’re sorry for the inconvenience.
