Denied New mobile for Playing PUBG, Mumbai boy Reportedly Commits Suicide

PUBG is a popular battle royale game that allows 100 players to fight to the death. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, aka PUBG, has been growing in popularity constantly ever since its release. No doubt, it can lead to anyone getting addicted to the game. It is this immense addiction that made a boy hung himself to death.

According to the ANI report, the 19-year boy from Kurla’s Nehru Nagar area in Mumbai demanded a smartphone worth Rs 37,000 for gaming. However, the boy’s family did not approve his request and agreed to buy the phone not more than Rs 20,000. Mumbai Mirror reported the boy had an argument with his elder brother on the new smartphone the night before his suicide. The report identified the victim as Nadeem Sheikh, who worked as a sales executive and lived with his mother, elder brother, and his wife and kid.

According to this report, Nadim fell into the trap of the game and he was looking for a better smartphone to play the game. Although his brother was ready to give 20,000 rupees to a smartphone. But, the boy wanted to get the full amount of Rs 37,000. So, he returned the money to his elder brother.

After the incident, Nadim continued to play the game. But, his family members slept at 2 PM. Then his brother went to the bathroom and he found that Nadim’s body was hanging from the ceiling fan rope in the kitchen. The police have registered a case of accidental death.

Many students accused the PubG game for destroying their studies. An 11-year-old boy appealed to the Bombay High Court to ban the game, spreading addiction and false value to children.
