Bye Bye Redmi Note 7, Welcome Redmi Note 7S

Xiaomi launched its new budget smartphone Redmi Note 7S on Monday. Some online sources also suggest that this new smartphone will replace the Redmi Note 7.

According to a report, Xiaomi is planning to stop its three months old smartphone Redmi Note 7. Xiaomi also confirmed that it will stop Redmi Note 7 in the coming days. Just to recall, Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro were launched in February this year.

Yash Garg, Product PR Team of Xiaomi also confirmed the news on Twitter about the closure of Redmi Note 7. He tweeted that the latest launch from the company, Redmi Note 7S will replace Redmi Note 7 very soon. However, the company didn’t reveal the date of closure of this smartphone. This decision by the company may irritate the users who purchased Redmi Note 7 recently. The company also didn’t even disclose the reasons for shutting down the Redmi Note 7.

But we think as the specifications of Redmi Note 7S and Redmi Note 7 are almost the same. To talk about the specifications of  Redmi Note 7S, it is featured with a 6.3 inch full HD + display with 1080×2340 pixels resolution. The display is also further protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

Redmi Note 7S runs on  Android 9.0 Pie OS which is powered by Snapdragon 660 processor. It is made available in two variants 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage respectively. The internal storage can be further expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.

Redmi Note 7S also comes with dual rear camera setup of 48MP primary and a 5MP secondary camera. It also has a 13MP camera for selfies in the notch. It is also backed with the 4,000 mAh high-capacity battery with  Quick Charge 4 support.

It is available in three colour variants Onyx Blue, Sapphire Blue and, Ruby Red respectively. The base variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage comes for Rs. 10,999 and the 4GB RAM and 64GB variant come with an Rs.12,999 price tag.
