Black Shark 4 series to launch on March 23 in China, reveals company

Xiaomi is about to launch its next-gen gaming smartphones in the form of the Black Shark 4 series, and the date of the launch is March 23. Xiaomi has just announced that it will be launching the much-awaited Black Shark 4 series in China on March 23. It appears that the company will be announcing the Black Shark 4 and the Black Shark 4 Pro smartphones in the home market under the new lineup.

The Black Shark 4 series will be announced via an online event, which is set to begin at 3:00 PM (local time) on Tuesday. Unfortunately, the launch date poster shared by the company does not reveal any details on the specifications of the upcoming gaming devices. However, it is already confirmed that the handset will be backed by a 4500mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging which is claimed to 100% within 15 minutes.

Earlier, the vanilla model with the model number KSR-A0 was listed on TENAA. The Black Shark 4 is said to house a Snapdragon 870 SoC, a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 4500mAh battery, 120W fast-charging support, and Android 11 OS out of the box. There is no word on camera sensors. The phone is said to feature a horizontally-aligned triple camera setup on the rear with a 48-megapixel or a 64-megapixel primary sensor.

Furthermore, the Black Shark 4 Pro was also certified by TENAA with the model number PRS-A0 model number. The images on the listing revealed that the smartphone will have gaming trigger buttons and a side-facing fingerprint reader on the right side. On the left side, the phone will sport a volume rocker.

The rear side of the phone will be a place for a horizontal triple-camera module and a tiny LED flash along with a Black Shark logo. A tipster from China also claimed that the Pro model will come equipped with a 108-megapixel main sensor.

A device with model number PRS-A0 also listed on Google Play Console with the codename “Penrose.” and the listing revealed the smartphone’s full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and 440ppi pixel density, massive 12GB of RAM, and Android 11 operating system. Black Shark 4 Pro is said to come with Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset Snapdragon 888.
