| By DWR Editor

Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi’s sub-brand Black Shark is all set to launch its latest smartphones very soon. Now, the detailed battery specifications of the phone have surfaced.

As per the CEO of black Shark, Luo Shao, the company is looking to strike a balance between the battery capacity and charging power of the device. As the phone will come with 5G support, the handset’s battery consumption will also be noticeable. Hence, the brand is planning on improving both battery capacity and charging rates while specifically designing a heat dissipation design for the device.

Further, the company’s senior executive started a vote on “which combination with charging rates, battery capacity and discharging rates do users prefer in a 5G gaming smartphone.” He offered four different configurations, that are:

65W + 5000mAh, 100% charge in 38 minutes, cycle life> 800.

55W + 4500mAh, 100% charge in 40 minutes, cycle life> 600

65W + 4000mAh, 100% charge in 30 minutes, cycle life> 600

55W + 4440mAh, 100% charge in 36 minutes, cycle life> 600

So, we can expect the upcoming Black Shark 3 will pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. Moreover, it will support SA and NSA dual-mode 5G, as per the report. As far as the display is concerned, it is expected to feature 2K resolution and offer a 120Hz refresh rate.

Although there’s no information out officially on other specs of the phone, as per our industry sources, it can be confirmed that the handset will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with the X55 5G modem. For memory, an LPDDR5 flash chip alongside UFS 3.0 is expected as well. Further, it is likely to feature Wi-Fi 6, NFC.
