The wait is finally over for Black Shark fans. After several leaks and rumours, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Black Shark finally unveiled Black Shark 2 Pro in an event in home country China. This latest gaming smartphone from Xiaomi is the successor to Black Shark 2 which was launched a couple of months ago
Being a Pro variant, Black Shark 2 Pro comes with some noteworthy upgrades and some specifications similar to the company’s last gaming phone, Black Shark 2. As the company confirmed ahead of launch, the Black Shark 2 Pro packs a powerful Snapdragon 855 Plus processor.
Black Shark 2 Pro Specifications
The Black Shark 2 Pro features a TrueView full HD+ Pressure-Sensitive AMOLED display measuring 6.39 inches with full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The Snapdragon 855 Plus with Adreno 640 GPU is at the helm of the Black Shark 2 Pro smartphone. The handset features an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is available in two variants – 12 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 128 GB storage.
The all-new Black Shark 2 Pro comes with a DC dimming 2.0 support, UFS 3.0 and features liquid cooling 3.0+, which includes a liquid-cooled plate along with liquid-cooled tube that covers all the heat-generating components of the CPU. Liquid Cooling 3.0+ is claimed to be 20 times more efficient in heat dissipation and it downs the core temperature by up to 14-degree C.
The camera capabilities are handled by a dual rear camera setup comprising of a primary 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor paired with a secondary 13-megapixel with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. On the front, there is a 20-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The Black Shark 2 Pro runs Android 9 Pie with a 4000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support. Connectivity options on this handset include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C port.
Black Shark 2 Pro Pricing
Now focusing on the most crucial part of this equation, which is the pricing, the Black Shark 2 Pro price in India starts at Yuan 2,999 (approx. Rs 29,926) for the 12GB RAM/ 128GB storage model whereas the 12GB RAM/ 256GB storage variant costs Yuan 3,499 (approx. Rs 34,915). The Black Shark 2 Pro is available in five color variants – Bolt (Ming black), Flamingo (orange blast), Freezing Blade (grey ice crystal), Racing (blue), Myth Ray (purple streamer). The sale will begin from August 2 onwards.
