After the success of ZenFone Max Pro M1 in India which is launched in April 2018, Asus announced two more affordable smartphones in India. The two new budget phones are named: ZenFone Max M1 and ZenFone Lite L1. Both the devices come with a large display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 processor. The ZenFone Max M1 is priced at Rs 8,999, while the ZenFone Lite L1 will cost Rs 7,999. Both the smartphones are exclusive to Flipkart and phones will be sold at discount prices during Flipkart’s upcoming Diwali sale.

Asus ZenFone Max M1 comes only in a 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage variant, whereas the Redmi 6 comes in 2 variants. One with 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage and 3 GB RAM with 64 GB storage variants. Both the smartphones feature a dedicated microSD card slot for the further expansion of the storage.

The Asus ZenFone Max M1 is backed by the massive 4000 mAh battery. Xiaomi Redmi 6, on the other hand, has a 3000 mAh battery. As the Asus Zenfone Max runs on the stock android, we can expect better battery backup on the device compared to the Redmi 6.

The Max M1 runs Google’s Android 8.0 Oreo with the company’s own ZenUI 5 skin on top. While the Xiaomi’s Redmi 6 runs on MIUI custom OS designed by Xiaomi which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Asus’ Zenfone Max (M1) is priced at Rs 8,999 but will be available at an introductory price of Rs 7,499. The Redmi 6 has been priced at Rs. 7,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant and Rs. 9,499 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage variant, in India.
