On May 16, the Taiwanese smartphone brand Asus is set to unveil its flagship smartphone– the sixth-generation Zenfone. Now, the upcoming flagship Asus Zenfone 6 has popped up on the Geekbench database, giving us an idea about what to expect from it once launched.
Most of the specifications listed on the Geekbench site matches with what we already know about the device, so there’s not a whole lot of surprise on that front. As per Geekbench appearance, the Asus Zenfone 6 will be powered by the octa-core 1.78GHz Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM. Based on the Android 9 Pie OS, the Asus Zenfone 6 managed to pull a total of 3527 points in the single-core and 11190 points in the multi-core test.
To recall, last week the same I01WD variant of the ASUS ZenFone 6 was certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance and the certification confirmed that the device will have support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band and Android 9.0 Pie. Furthermore, the company is expected to launch a few more ZenFone 6 series smartphones in the same launch event on May 16 in Valencia, Spain.

The company has already sent out invites for an event to be held on the 16th of May. As per earlier reports, Asus is likely to ditch the notch design for a notch-less design which could see it abandoning the selfie camera on the upcoming flagship. The earlier leak also revealed the design of the smartphone and hinted at that the Asus Zenfone 6 would feature a triple camera setup and a boxy design with a gradient finish at the back of the phone. The triple-camera setup is situated at the top-left corner and it is vertically-aligned.
We expect the Asus ZenFone 6 flagship smartphone to launch in India soon after its global debut in Spain next month.
