Asus ROG Phone 5 appears on TENAA, key specifications leaked

Asus ROG Phone 5 has been spotted in a listing on the website of Chinese regulatory authority TENAA, revealing key specifications of the upcoming phone and confirming some speculations. 

As per the TENAA listing, the Asus ROG Phone 5 has a model number Ioo5DA which is familiar for the brand’s ROG series gaming smartphones. The TENAA listing does mention that ROG Phone 5 will carry the Snapdragon 888 SoC and will pack a massive 6,000mAh battery. It will make use of a dual-cell technology with two batteries packing 3,000mAh capacity. But it doesn’t reveal the exact fast charging capability of the phone. As per the recent 3C certifications, the ROG Phone 5 will come with 65W fast charging. 

Its rear triple-camera module is said to house a 64MP primary camera alongside other two sensors probably for ultrawide, and macro/depth sensing. Interestingly, the backside of the phone also has a secondary display. According to a previously leaked teaser, this display will serve to show notifications and useful info. 

Other features that the TENAA sit tips include a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 144Hz refresh rate support. Nothing much is known about the internal hardware just yet. We should learn more details soon. The Asus ROG Phone 5 is expected to launch sometime in April. It will compete against Nubia’s Red Magic 6 and Xiaomi’s Black Shark 4.
