Asus may soon launch a successor for the ROG phone 2 smartphone, called the ROG Phone 3. A device, with model number Asus_1003DD, was spotted earlier this month on a Geekbench benchmark site. Now, a handset with the same model number has surfaced on TENAA and AnTuTu, suggesting the imminent launch.
As mentioned, an Asus smartphone with model number Asus_1003DD has received certifications by TENAA which revealed most of the specifications of the smartphone. Separately, the same model number has also surfaced on benchmark site AnTuTu that confirms most of the specifications of the upcoming gaming device.
As per the TENAA listing, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 could come with a notch-less 6.59-inch AMOLED display that offers 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is said to pack a 5800mAh battery with a 30W fast charger. The handset measures 171 x 78 x 9.85mm and it weighs 240 grams. The TENAA listing mentions only Bright Black color variant, however, it is expected to hit the market in other color options as well.

The ROG Phone 3 will be fuelled by a flagship chipset that clocks at 3.091GHz. This clocking speed is faster than that of the 2.85GHz clocking speeds of Snapdragon 865. The increased processing speeds spotted even on AnTuTu listing on the device suggests it could be powered by Qualcomm’s unannounced Snapdragon 865+ SoC.
As per the AnTuTu listing, the Asus_1003DD will be powered by 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It will boot with Android 10 and scored 646,310 in the AnTuTu tests. The benchmarking platform speculates that the ROG Phone 3’s screen supports up to 144Hz refresh rate.
