ASUS ROG Phone 2 Spotted on TENAA, Reveals Full Specifications

A listing on Chinese regulatory website, TENAA has revealed the specifications of the unreleased ASUS ROG Phone 2 which is supposed to launch soon. The smartphone will succeed the ASUS ROG Phone which was launched last year.

As for the specifications, the ROG Phone 2 sports a 6.59-inch display with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The phone is tipped to be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.95GHz. The company has already confirmed that the upcoming ROG Phone 2 will be launching as the world’s first smartphone powered by the all-new Snapdragon 855 SoC.

As you can see in the TENAA images, the front of the smartphone shows that its display has regular bezels like the predecessor ROG Phone. Also, it seems to be fitted with dual front-firing speakers. However, the rear side of the phone looks similar to the last year’s ROG Phone.

On the rear, there is a horizontally arranged dual camera module which is assisted by two LED flash units. The ROG logo could be equipped with RGB light and it may also function as a notification LED. There is no fingerprint scanner on the rear which hints at the in-display fingerprint sensor.

The smartphone is tipped to be powered by a 5900mAh and runs on the latest Android 9.0 OS. The Asus Rog Phone 2 is likely to be available in three different variants. These include a device with 6GB/ 8GB RAM and 128 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB internal storage options. It will be launched in the lone black color variant. As per the TENA listing, the ROG Phone 2 measures 170.99 x 77.6 x 9.78mm and. weighs 240 grams.

The 3C listing of the ROG Phone 2 smartphone has revealed that it carries support for 30W fast charging. There are no official words on the launch date yet, but the leak suggests that the ASUS ROG Phone 2 launch should take place soon.
