Asus ROG Phone 2 Price Revealed: Will be Available From July 31

Asus ROG Phone 2 was officially launched in the Chinese market earlier this week, however, the price was not revealed at the time. Today, the manufacturer has revealed the price of the Asus ROG Phone 2 for the Chinese market. The Asus ROG Phone 2 succeeds the Asus ROG Phone that was launched in last year. It has some new and amazing features compared to its predecessor.

The Asus ROG Phone 2 price starts at RMB 3,499 (approx. Rs 35,000) for the 8GB + 128GB, going up to RMB 7,999 (approx. Rs 80,000) for the special variant. Yes. The Asus ROG Phone 2 is launched in totally six variants and the base variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at RMB 3,499 (approx. Rs 35,000). The second variant with 12GB RAM + 512GB storage costs RMB 5,999 (approx. Rs 60,000). Both phones also come in a separate variant called ‘Enjoy Peace in Beijing’, and these two also has the same RAM and internal storage.

The company also two special variants called a Zhizun which is priced at RMB 7,999 (approx. Rs 80,000) and an Esports Armour variant is priced at RMB 12,999 (approx. Rs 1,30,000). These smartphones are now up for pre-orders from JD.com and it will go on sale from July 31.

Asus ROG Phone 2 Specifications

The Asus ROG Phone 2 sports a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and up to 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor with Adreno 640 GPU at its core. It is coupled with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

For immense gaming experience, the handset has front-facing stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra support. The speakers come with larger chambers and are reportedly twice as loud as the ones found on the ROG Phone. The device has a 3.5mm audio jack. There are four microphones on board, as well as specially placed antennas that streaming is seamless. The ROG Phone 2 will also come with a bunch of gaming accessories. These include the likes of the Kunai Gamepad, TwinView Dock II, AirTriggers, and more. There is also a 3D vapor chamber feature on the handset to maintain performance (reduce throttling) while gaming. Since the heat is redirected outside the phone, the company includes the second generation AeroActive Cooler II in the box.

For photography, the ROG phone 2 also packs a dual rear camera setup, which includes a 48-megapixel Quad Bayer sensor along with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. There is a 24-megapixel front shooter onboard as well. It runs Android 9 Pie OS and is backed by a 6000mAh battery with 30W ROG HyperCharge as well as Quick Charge 4.0.
