A new smartphone in the ROG 5 series is all set to launch from Taiwanese brand Asus. Dubbed as ASUS ROG 5s, the smartphone will be the latest addition to the ROG 5 lineup. Ahead of the official launch, Asus ROG 5s launch date and specifications surfaced online.
According to a tweet by @chunvn8888, ROG 5s will be released on August 16. The company has not yet announced the launch date of the ROG 5s. Within the next few days, we’ll know more about the upcoming ROG 5s.

Asus ROG 5s Specifications (Leaked)
Leaked details indicate that the Asus ROG 5s will have a 144Hz OLED display. The size of the display panel is not yet known. It is expected to have a 6.67-inch display, just like the other ROG 5 series models. ROG 5s is expected to run on the recently announced Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC.
It is expected to have 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Asus may also release the ROG 5s higher-end model with up to 18GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It is likely to ship with Android 11 out of the box.
At the moment, there is no information available on the camera setup of the ROG Phone 5s. There are three cameras in the ROG Phone 5 series, including a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5MP macro camera. ROG 5s is expected to come with a similar camera configuration. The leaked information suggests that this smartphone will be powered by a 6000mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging support.
