Taiwanese smartphone maker launched its latest flagship smartphone Asus 6Z in India today at an event in Delhi. This smartphone was first launched in Spain as Asus Zenfone 6Z earlier.
It is renamed Asus 6Z for India because of some legal issues. The major attraction of this smartphone is its unique flip camera system, in which the rear camera flips itself and works as a selfie camera.
What is New?
Asus 6Z comes with a Motorized Flip Camera setup. The flip camera setup is designed by using a Liquid metal which is lighter than stainless steel and four times stronger. The company also claimed that it has tested the flip camera for 100,000 times and if the smartphone falls down, the camera will be closed automatically.
Asus 6Z Price in India
Asus 6Z is launched in three different variants with 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. The base variant is priced at Rs 31,999 while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant comes for Rs 34,999. The top-end variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage comes with a price tag of Rs 39,999. It is also made available in Midnight black and Twilight Silver colour variants.
As the company already confirmed, Asus 6Z will be Flipkart exclusive and will be available on sale from June 26. Users can also avail no cost EMI options starting Rs.6,667. Axis bank is also offering an instant discount of 10% to its customers.
Asus 6Z Specifications
Asus 6Z has a 6.46 inch full HD + display with an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. The display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 6. Asus 6Z is powered by latest Snapdragon 855 processor and with RAM up to 8GB and internal storage up to 256GB. The internal storage of the phone can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD card.
To talk about the camera setup, Asus 6Z sports a dual rear camera setup of a 48MP primary camera with Sony IMX586 sensor and a 13MP 123-degree ultra-wide angle camera. As this device got a flip camera mechanism, the total back camera setup can be used as front cameras also.
For connectivity, the phone has 3.5mm audio jack, USB type C port, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Asus 6Z runs on Android 9.0 Pie OS, Asus already told that this device will receive Android Q and Android R updates in the future. It is backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 fast charge support.
