Apple is expected to update its iPad Pro lineup next year. Reports claim that the iPad Pro 2022 will receive a few design updates alongside improved internals. New Pro iPad models are likely to be released in March or April 2022. The exact date of the launch is still unknown. Meanwhile, a few key details have already emerged about the Apple iPad Pro 2022. Reports claim that the iPad Pro 2022 will follow the same design language as the iPhone 13 Pro.
A report by MyDrivers indicates that the iPad Pro will feature narrower bezels on all sides. The bezels have become so narrow that Apple will implement a notch design to house the front-facing camera. The company did the same for the MacBook Pro M1 and M1 PRO, reducing the bezels down to the screen edge, but added a notch for the front-facing camera. Unlike the MacBook Pro, the iPad Pro will have a Face ID.
Additionally, the iPad Pro 2022 will feature a dual-layer OLED display for increased brightness and durability. Apple will be using an LTPO display that will support 120Hz. It is likely that both models of 11″ and 12.9″ will have a mini-LED display. The frame is reportedly made up of titanium alloy instead of aluminium.
On the back, the report states that Apple will introduce a triple-camera setup along with the LiDAR sensor on the iPad Pro. It is unknown if the camera sensor setup will be similar to the iPhone Pro lineup at the moment. While most of the specs fall in line with previous reports, we would advise taking the leaked design renders with a pinch of salt.
