Chinese company Xiaomi launched its Redmi K40 earlier this year with a Snapdragon 870 SoC. The phone was sold in India as Mi 11X. Xiaomi is reportedly planning to release a Redmi phone that could replace its Redmi K40/Mi 11X models. The latest leak revealed a few key details about Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi smartphone.
Tipster Digital Chat Station has not revealed any details about the moniker of the device. But we believe this phone could be the successor of the Redmi K40, called the Redmi K50.
Apparently, the Redmi smartphone has a Snapdragon 870 processor under the hood. Additionally, it will feature a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and 120Hz refresh rate support.
The back of the phone is likely to feature a triple-camera setup. As far as the camera sensors are concerned, it will have a 50MP main sensor. There are no details about the other cameras.
Additionally, the phone is said to have improved haptics. A 5000mAh battery is expected to power the handset and it should support 67W fast charging. The phone would come with 8GB/ 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, depending on the model. We don’t know the rest of the phone’s details. Xiaomi has not provided any details about this phone.
