Earlier this week, Nokia’ parent company HMD Global sent out invites to a launch event in Taiwan on April 2. The company plans to launch the Nokia X71 in Taiwan at the upcoming launch event. Now, this smartphone has allegedly appeared on the benchmarking website, Geekbench. Previous rumors had claimed that the Nokia X71 could launch globally as Nokia 8.1 Plus. Few rumors suggest it could arrive as Nokia 6 (2019) or Nokia 6.2 instead.
Nokia X71 has appeared on Geekbench while revealing some of its key specifications. In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, the alleged Nokia X71 smartphone has respectively scored 1455 and 5075 points.
An Octa-core chipset is powering the device, its power-efficient cores clocking at 1.84Ghz which indicates the chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. The listing suggests the Octa-core SoC is accompanied with 6GB RAM which is pretty much decent.
As we mentioned earlier, Nokia has confirmed that it will be launching the Nokia X71 smartphone on April 12. The smartphone is expected to arrive with a punch-hole camera cutout in the display. So, it might be the first phone from Nokia to feature a punch-hole camera.
There is no information available on the other specs and pricing of the smartphone. If these reports are to be believed, the Nokia X71 (Nokia 6.2) will surely be the tough competitor for Xiaomi’s recently launched Redmi Note 7. Stay tuned, we will keep you updated.
