| By DWR Editor

While most of the smartphone brands have already launched their flagship devices, Taiwanese brand Asus is yet to launch its smartphone. Earlier, the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone Zenfone 6 got leaked and it is set to launch on May 16.

Now, a new Asus 5G smartphone renders have leaked online, showing us the phone’s design. The render shows a dual-slider design and from the images, we can see a built-in loudspeaker that will come with Harman / Kardon hardware which will be providing better sound quality.

Evan Blass (@evleaks), a reliable phone leaker, has shared the renders of the Asus device, revealing the front and both side of the devices. The leak confirms what has been known — the design of the new flagship phones will be completely different from the previous models.

Moreover, the leakster also said that the device will be equipped with 5G networking functions and according to the past cooperating between Qualcomm and Asus, this is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC along with Snapdragon X50 5G networking chip. As we can see in the render, there is no physical fingerprint sensor that indicates an in-display fingerprint reader might be implemented on the device.

On the right side of the device, there is a volume rocker key and a power button. Furthermore, there is a USB Type-C port for charging on the bottom. However, just don’t take these renders too seriously. Even Evan Blass (@evleaks) is not very sure about the authenticity of this leak.

Last week the same ASUS_I01WD variant of the ASUS ZenFone 6 was certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance and the certification confirmed that the device will have support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band and Android 9.0 Pie.
