10.or G2 Spotted on Geekbench Reveals Processor and RAM

| By DWR Editor

In 2017, a new smartphone maker from China named ‘Tenor’ entered Indian smartphone market and gained some popularity. Even though it is Chinese brand, their phones are currently available only in India. Tenor has partnered exclusively with Amazon India to sell their phones in the country.

Last year, they launched the 10.or G with impressive specs and now the successor of 10.or G2 is set to unveil soon as the device has been spotted on Geekbench. The device received 1329 points in single core test and 4788 points in multi core test.

According to the results of Geekbench, 10.or G2 will be a mid-range smartphone, like its previous model. The device listed on Geekbench shows the device is running on Snapdragon 660 processor. However, this information is incorrect. Because, Snapdragon 660 is the base frequency which is lower than that of other SDM660-powered phones. The core scores are also lower. The 10.or G2 is actually powered by a Snapdragon 636 processor. To recall, the predecessor 10.or G is powered by Snapdragon 626. So Snapdragon 636 is still a significant update over its predecessor.

This is not the first time that Geekbench has incorrectly identified the chipset of a phone. Earlier, Geekbench incorrectly identified HTC U12 Life’s Snapdragon 636 as Snapdragon 660.

The Geekbench benchmark result also shows that upcoming Tenor phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo. Interestingly, 10.or G launched with Android 7.1 Nougat and is upgradeable to Android 8.0 Oreo. So, we can expect Android 9 Pie operating system on upcoming 10.or G2. The RAM has also been upgraded to 6GB. There is a chance there will be a 4GB RAM and even a 3GB RAM variants.
